The worst starting players at every position in the MLB for the year 2011........ three were former Blue Jays.

LF- Vernon Wells (Angels)
CF- Alex Rios (White Sox)
SS- Alex Gonzalez (Braves)

............ Aaron Hill was not on list

............. AA did a great job.

Okay, to be fair to Gonzalez, the worst starting shortstop this year is the same player it is every year: Yuniesky Betancourt. Gonzalez and he hit about the same, but Gonzalez is an average fielder, while Betancourt is a complete and total butcher.

-0.3 WAR combined over his last four seasons. An average of 568 plate appearances each season. Yuni Betancourt is proof that God does not exist.

Or that he's got a very dry sense of humour.
Is anybody here a marine biologist?

I vaguely remember reading that AA felt the Rios/Lincecum deal could have happened (in some form) had the rumor not leaked to the media. Given the types of fleecings that have come out of no where since AA took over, I actually believe it could have happened. How the mighty have fallen (Rios). Looked like a star in 2006-08, but outside of a decent 2010 has spiraled way down.

When I look back at that trade, I go "WOW!" I wonder how Dwight Smith Jr. will do though being the guy we selected with that pick. It'll be exciting monitoring his progress in the next few years knowing how we were able to get him in the first place.
Want: Trae Young, Michael Porter Jr., DeAndre Ayton, Jaren Jackson Jr, Marvin Bagley III, Mohamad Bamba, Shai Gilgeous- Alexander, Elie Okobo, Jevon Carter
