Most of my venom is directed at that new CBA. I mean jesus christ, how are you supposed to compete when it's going to cost you a quarter of a billion dollars to "sign a big bat"... granted you don't have to sign Prince, but I just can't understand where Major League Baseball decided to clamp down on teams trying to acquire assets and build through the draft but they don't do $hit to address a single team paying a quarter of a billion to 1 guy? This sport is so ass backwards sometimes.

I want Rogers to spend as much as the next guy, but the kinds of contracts these "bats" are getting are complete and total albatrosses. F'n ridiculous.

^ While I agree, sadly this is how the game works.

What infuriates me is that we have the market AND the ownership to compete under these rules. That really is a slap in the face.

No that would be fair weather fans.

Fair weather fans are what gives incentive to teams to spend money. If everybody was a fan all the time then why would they ever invest?
