Please do not act like a Mod. We are very capable of looking after the forum without suggestions on what should or should not be locked.

I don't believe I was acting like a Mod. I was trying to be of help. All the same, I will adjust my approach in future.

Who thinks if Lawrie comes out and has a great year 30hrs and 100rbis (more like 25/80 for a start would be great) that we throw a contract at him sooner than later? This will be what makes or breaks AA but then again we could wait till Brett shows up to play on a regular basis but then it maybe expensive to keep him long term.

So who's the next impact FA we'll wait for who'll sign to a bargain-basement contract that will end just before his prime ends?

I don't believe people said no Prince because of Votto. I believe the people that said no Prince stated that it would be a terrible deal after a couple of years and could restrict us in the future, so why turn a bright future into a bad one.

Fangraphs, (super smart people) put Fielder as like the 2nd or 3rd worst move of the offseason. It was a terrible idea, a very short sighted move.

We will resign players like Lawrie to massive contracts in a short half decade or so, so if you want to keep Lawrie and not make decisions like "Lawrie or Romero", I suggest we keep our books relatively open. We will sign big name FA's to stupid contracts when we are in a better position to make the playoffs.
