What time should I get there on Sunday (Bobblehead)

Post#1 » by GonzagaLove » Fri Jun 1, 2012 11:19 am

For those who went to Bobblehead day #1 or have experience with this in the past,
What time should I get to the stadium to ensure I get a bobblehead?

Thanks

They'll probably run out of bobbleheads at most gates by about 12:30. Some gates will start running out at 12:15-12:20, especially the 500's.

I would try to be there for 12, at the latest, for sure
There are people who buy 500 level cheap seats, walk in and get their bobblehead, leave immediately, go home and try to sell it on e-bay.
Cool people....

I went for the Morrow bobblehead day. It was a madhouse - I arrived at about 12:15 at gate 6 and there were still quite a few left.

Good luck.
Stay thirsty, my friends

Pro tip:

If you park in the Rogers Centre (yes it's $20-$25), they have people giving out bobbleheads near the exits to the elevators.

Last year on Robbie Alomar day, I thought I was SOL when I saw the lineups to get into Rogers Centre, ended up getting two bobbleheads for my wife and I inside the underground parking lot, and then ended up getting the last 2 at my gate when we went into the game :D

i went to my first ballgame in over 10 years for the Morrow bobblehead.. being the newbie that i was, we went really early (got to the gate around 10:30).. there was a pretty long lineup then.. but there were tons of bobbleheads.. however, that was a long weekend with over 40K people.. i'm not sure if the attendance is expected to be that high for sundays game?

I think attendance will be somewhere in the 35k range this Sunday. It's a bobblehead day & it's Boston so there's going to be a big crowd.
