Dearth means scarcity/lack of. Is that what you really meant?

oops no

"Surfeit" is the term you wanted.

Or "lots".

I can't speak to what he wanted, but the best term would have been 'many.'

'... many young quality pitchers.'

'Surfeit,' outside Quebec, is obnoxious (and that's coming from me!), and 'lots' means 'groups.'

Lets stick to the plan, be patient, do nothing, and maybe we can go after Wandy next year.

Hilarious.

You need to stop drinking with Holmes. He's a bad influence.

LOL! Perfect expression by El Guapo there...

Regrettably, outside Mexico, 'plethora' is also patently obnoxious.... :D

Wouldn't be a proper wrap-up to a good joke if it didn't include a 'verily' at the end.

I think this board is becoming infested with either current or ex-english majors. I can tell because I'm starting to understand more of the jokes. :D

Someone well-read who didn't read because of school requirements, but instead did it only for the enjoyment? I always thought if you hadn't written at least 15 page paper about Henry James' "
The Turn of the Screw" then you shouldn't be able to spell or have a vocabulary over 300 words. This revelation has rocked my fragile grip on reality and my place in it. I hope I don't start seeing ghosts that kind of turn me on. :D

Have you ever contributed a positive post on this or the Raptors board? If so, I have yet to see it.

can anybody tell me what Cole Hamuels or Garzas price tags are? Some people I seen on the official facebook page and all the other Jays sites say it's one of Gose/d'ArnaudAdeiny Hechavarria ++ for Garza. I think if that is Matt's price count me out

Garza's hella expensive and believe the Cubs are commanding a Mat Latos type deal. Hamels right now is trying to work out an extension with the Phils. If they are unable to come to an agreement, I'm sure it will cost the bare minimum an A list prospect (same goes for Greinke).

that's pure lunacy... I would start with those 3 if we are talking King Felix, but for Garza? No freaking way

Reads for the enjoyment is right, sir. 8-)

And for your last line, there's a Patrick Swayze joke in there somewhere. (And a reference to the Isley Brothers, too.)
