JP Arencibia out 6 weeks - Broken Hand

The Toronto Blue Jays’ injury epidemic claimed another victim when starting catcher J.P. Arencibia suffered a fractured right hand in Wednesday night’s game. He will miss approximately six weeks, manager John Farrell said.

Yan Gomes and Mathis to split time as Catcher.
This would have been perfect for d’Arnaud had he not gotten injured as well.

damn u Travis D'Arnaud

.................. this also means we r showcasing Jeff Mathis since its clear D'Arbaud and Arencibia will split next season as opposed to Arencibia being dealt this season after D'Arnaud got some experience.

too bad... i like Mathis' defense.....he is solid

Right now, I'm liking Mathis more than Arencibia, nice to have 40 points more BA, even if Mathis is punching well above his weight offensively.
