Something has to give, both blue jay and ranger scouts were watching Garza yesterday.

^^, true, but the jays took the time to fly out there and take a good look at Garza. We shall see what happens.

I would much rather have Upton, but the diamondbacks said a few days ago he is not on the block to be traded till the offseason. Oh well, even if we do get Garza, we are still ****ed in LF. I am guessing they are going to give it to rajai or move rasmus to LF and leave gose in CF.

Garza would only make sense for us if the Cubs were willing to eat the remaining $$ on his contract for this year! Not happening, in my opinion.

Yeah, and they flew to Japan and looked at Darvish too. And now Darvish is with Texas.

hope i am wrong but i am expecting the oh so typical, "we tried to get something done." that has become the un-official AA campaign statement of sorts.

Why the hell would we traded Snider if we aren't getting another left fielder?

Except for the large number of times something does actually happen, right? He's made like 30 trades in the last 3 years or something.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

I dont even expect that. I expect AA to say something like 'We traded snider and Thames for Bullpen pieces and thats all we needed. I find these last couple of days a success'

EDIT: ITS ALL OVER! Depressing day.

yes, main difference is we have glaring holes and the 3 trades he made does very little to address much at all.

I know. I guess he's content with Davis.

@BlueJays have recalled OF MOISES SIERRA from Las Vegas and have optioned LHP EVAN CRAWFORD and RHP JOEL CARRENO to Las Vegas.

Which means there's probably no trade coming...

Gotta say, this thread had my hopes up that there was another deal coming. Not even necessarily Garza, just got me convinced that Snider for Lincoln was prelude to something else. :(
