Hilarious to have Pete Walker advance all the way to Pitching Coach with Cy Hentgen out in the 'pen..

Why is that hilarious? Coaching and playing are completely different talents.
it's nice to see them keeping some of the older guys around though, albeit in minimal roles.

So sorry for the confusion.
Hilarious in a "well, would you look at that" sort of way....
Not hilarious in an "I'm laughing, you're not laughing, so let's argue about it" sort of way.
(and btw, I'm familiar w/ the axiom, 'those who can, do; those who can't, teach.') lol.

I agree. I've heard a minor leaguer talk about how one of their coaches was so ridiculously talented that he expected all other players to have that sort of talent and figure it out.
Not saying that is always the case but sometimes it works the opposite.

You guys are all far, far too serious....

Wouldn't you find it 'funny' if Halladay was our bullpen coach and Josh Towers was our pitching coach in a couple years?? Just to state the patently obvious: Pete Walker is fine as our pitching coach. (But only until 3 of our 5 starters go down with injuries in a week)

Oh no I got what you said, I was just responding to an opinion which came to light during the misconception.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Pat and Gibbons are good friends, this move was kind of just a matter of time. I imagine they'd have loved to name Pat the pitching coach, if only he had a tad more experience (i.e. didn't leave the bullpen job he had).

Hopefully the bullpen is dramatically better than the last time Hentgen was bullpen coach. Nice guy, wish him success.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Just 'cause you seem to need it;
This grasshopper walks into a bar. The bartender looks at him and says, "Hey, we serve a drink named after you." The grasshopper looks at the bartender and says, "You serve a drink called Sharone?"
