OT: Edwin Jackson signs with Cubs, 4/52

Seems like a solid bargain at that price and term, which brings us back to the debate: Jackson for 4/52 + TDA + Noah or Dickey for 3/30?

Good deal relative to market value. However, I don't think Edwin provides anywhere close to the upside that Dickey does. So if your trying to compete for a world series at the end of the day, you go with Dickey.

Gets a third of what Greinke got despite putting up similar stats the past 2 years..

I think there's a big difference between Jackson and Dickey in terms of an ability to be dominant, which could really pay off in a playoff situation.

To me, the real question is why the Angels didn't sign Jackson instead of trading Morales for Vargas.

Villanueva must be pissed by this signing.
