Wow, the real glass would look awesome.

They should turn the upper deck OF into some kind of 'party zone' - could create a patio type experience with bars, muskoka chairs, etc. Or, what if they ripped it up and just put in huge windows to let in some natural light even when the roof is closed?

Or they could get real fun with it and have a bungee drop available for people during the 7th inning stretch - or some other 'extreme' sports. lol

It's a pretty lousy place to catch a game up there anyways, and the least likely to have people in it, it'd be better than staring at empty blue seats.

It would be nice to have real grass, much better looking but is it even feasible without enough sunlight? The turf isn't even that bad. Its not like the old astro turf that was super thin. I've played a few baseball games on the turf at the Rogers Centre while I worked with them over the All star break. It actually has great cushion and bounce to it. It feels like fake grass combined with something similar to the recycled rubber tires used in some playgrounds. If they were to do that does that mean they can't hold concerts or other events there either?

What they really need to change is the in game experience like many posters have pointed out. The food with the exception of the 100 level and club VIP is terrible. Windows restaurant remains empty. Too much exposed concrete and the seats suck except for the padding in the 200 level and VIP seats. They should invest in the stadium as well because it is terrible compared to going to the ACC.

If they have asked the Argos to find a new home then why would they be trying to negotiate another 5 year agreement with the Bills?

"The five-year deal, in which Rogers Communications agreed to pay the Bills $78 million to play in Toronto, has now expired. The two sides have been in negotiations and are close to extending the series for what's expected to be another five years." TSN

Lets hope they take the Bills thing as a failed experiment and not try to re negotiate. We need real grass. ITs looks so much nicer and with a good team it would be a lot easier to recruit new players (Beltran for example). This would be just the absolute best to really bring back that baseball feeling to the park and team.

That grass makes the Roger Centre look amazing!

Makes perfect sense for them to really being discussing this. Bills is up, and the Argo lease is up right? So far, it looks like its only a baseball stadium. Get it done!

While were at it whos up for something drastic like blue grass or blue dirt like Boise state style. We could be the first of a kind. Others are puttign there logo on mounds and in the grass in outfield.

Let go big and go home and just make the grass or dirt blue.

Maybe Ill mock that up just for fun.

That actually sounds like a very cool idea! Blue grass you say? I'm sure there is a rule against it but heck, let's try and get out of it!

I agree. Blue dirt is strange.

I think that shade is a tad too intense, I could see players complaining. Other than that, it is very ascetically appeasing.

It actually looks really cool. If we're not going to have a classic ballpark why not do something totally unique?

The blue grass is jarring and unpleasant. It's too dark and reminds me of asphalt. Baseball is best played on nice bright green grass.

However if just the warning track and boarder was blue, that might be cool while not being too intrusive or overwhelming.

Blue grass looks terrible, it would make an already sterile stadium look even worse. The mock-up looks like some bad idea from the 70's. Hopefully they have grass by next season.

I think it's pretty much the exact opposite of ascetically pleasing. Now, Aesthetically is a matter of personal preference, but unless you turn out all the lights, paint the field black, and only let in one person at a time, I don't think the stadium will ever be pleasing to Ascetics. :D

I definitely want the real grass as well. This was just for fun. It weird though cause i think a lot of people had the same reaction to the Boise St when they did there field blue and If im not mistaken a few other teams did it as well. Who knows, maybe thats the future of sports. Especially with teams like Oregon doing that weird forest style to there basketball court seems like a lot of other teams followed.

Who knows maybe int he future this becomes the norm.

Way to crush my hopes and dreams bro.

EDIT: And it wouldn't be that blue. I meant like blueish green grass.
