Should break the 100 win barrier? I guess if absolutely everything goes right they could break 100 wins but every player isn't going to meet your expectations and/or stay healthy. That's just being realistic.

I don't care how many games they win as long as they make the playoffs. 95 is generally considered a safe number for making the playoffs but I certainly wouldn't consider the season disappointing if they win less than that.

The way I look at it, we don't make the playoffs without getting 95 wins. However, I'm not considering a wild card spot anymore because losing in a sudden death playoff hardly counts as a postseason appearance, and I don't think AA is either. This team was built to win the A.L. East. Anything short of that would be a disappointment to me, especially as the Yanks and Rays have taken small steps back and the Orioles are highly unlikely to repeat their 29-9 performance in 1-run games. And I'll be damned if Farrell and those schmucks in Boston beat us.

does war have a higher success rate in projecting what a player can do than whatever was used before?

it seems like a lot of emphasis on trends and prior similar players.

With the AL east looking weaker in 2013 nobody would be surprised if it took less than 95 wins.

That's great that you have that opinion, as wrong is it may be.

My reply to your post was primarily about your statement that 'this team should absolutely break the 100 win barrier'. I don't see very many other people predicting 100 wins.

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

I never said they would break 100 wins, just that this team certainly could.

You said that they should break 100 wins and anything less than 95 would be disappointment.
