Not trying to take a shot at the OP, but I could really care less. He was a phenomenal player for us, that's all I care about.
What athletes/celebrities do in their personal lives means little to me.

I really have no first hand knowledge of the subject, and all the information out there is pretty vague, and contradictory. I'm not sure how anyone can really come to any kind of 'belief'' on the subject. At best it's just a random guess, or believing what you want to believe.

This, except change "could" with "couldn't" for me

Obviously the majority of people don't care about his sexual preference
But, as I said, what if he's been trying to deceive the public with phony relationships to these women?
Do you care about that?
If he's being used as a Blue Jays ambassador and has participated in fraudulent behaviour, then I think that speaks to his character
What kind of role model is he if he's living a lie? That would send the wrong message to teenagers who may be struggling with their own sexuality
I'm just putting it out there for the sake of discussion

The sexuality rumors aside, I'm more interested in whether the greatest Jay of all time may unfortunately end up dying far too young. It seems strange that multiple women would be accusing him of giving them HIV if he didn't have it, doesn't it? It almost seems like Jays fans refuse to believe it. Reminds me a little of Michael Jackson fans who only want to talk about MJ's dance moves and singing abilites.
Magic Johnson is the only other well known athlete who openly admitted to having HIV and did a lot for awareness of the disease. Roberto Alomar would easily be the second largest profile athlete with the disease if he does in fact have it.
That WOULD be newsworthy, no?

No. He's no role model to me, he's just a former baseball player. And I'm in no position to judge his character as a person, nor is anybody else here.
