Jays need to go 84-54 the rest of the way to match 2012 WCs

Moderator: JaysRule15

Can the Jays win 60% of their games the rest of the year?

YES - Dickey is a Cy Young winner. Our pitching is just warming up. Our hitters are going to get it going eventually. We have too much talent and spent too much money to miss the post season.

NO - Reyes injury was huge. Several hitters look worse than last year. And our pitching hasn't looked dominant enough to overcome that. Plus, we've been badly managed.

It's pretty sad that people are using what other teams did in the past to convince themselves this team can do the same. Because we all know the only postivies we had so far this season is maybe EE and Janssen.

This year's Jays obviously aren't in those depths even with their struggles. I think it adds to the suggestion that it's far from too late for this team.

I think it adds to the suggestion that we need to bring Cito back for a third stint.

Fans will love it, just like how they loved Kawasaki.

8-14 in April, then ended May at 31-23. DON'T PANAC!

Need April to end, then. Soon.

I don't even like Cito but I'm for it because Gibbons has about as much presence in that dugout as Jed Clampett.

They should bring Cito back as a hitting coach. The team has almost always hit well with him at hitting coach.

He's not exactly known for preaching patience at the plate, but with the kind of players in our lineup, i think that'd actually work to our advantage.

Remove Mottola, replace with Cito, and let Gibbons know that he's not being replaced yet.

Besides, Cito in the dugout could probably give Gibbons pointers on how to work with these guys, since he was in a similar spot in 92/93

I was just kidding with the Cito thing, guys. I don't think it's a good idea at this point.

All they need to do is score 5runs/game and we'll be good! I mean, we win 100% of our games when they score that many! :P :P :P

The Jays are the 3rd worst team in baseball ahead of the Marlins and Astros, two teams everyone figured would be horrible. That is shocking with 1 month gone.
