Gibbons: E5 to play some 3 bag

Everyones thoughts? Is he really that much worse then DeRosa?

Getting Lind's bat in the lineup seems to be a priority right now and with good reason. I keep thinking he'll drop off and hasn't.

he was 0 for 1 last night!!!! :wink:

its just weird not to see him on-base now...

Edwin has trouble throwing to first base, but his glove is generally fine. I'd rather have Bautista at 3rd base though.

meh, I don't mind. The increased offense of lind over Derosa/Itzuris should make up for any defensive lapse from Derosa/Itzuris to EE. Edwin's glove has been pretty good all year over at first anyways, but obviously doesn't have great range or the arm.

Just our luck that the one year Lind starts getting it together with his hitting is the same year the rest of our roster is seeming to struggle (or at least was)

My biggest concern is that it affects his hitting. His poor fielding hurt his confidence so much last time that he ultimately went down to the minors.

Geez, how mentally weak do you think he is? Edwin is an established big league slugger at this point.

Would rather have E5 at 3rd with Linds bat in that a combination of edwin and derosas bat and defence playing 3rd.....and besides maybe i would be able to play Edwin at 3rd in my fantasy draft if he gets enough games lol

^ fits right in with this year's ball club. But the options are limited for the Jays. With Lind hitting well, you have to keep him in. Edwin either plays 3rd or LF; which would have been an option if Lawrie were healthy.

Still better than DeRosa and Izturis there probably, especially with Lind's bat being able to play as a result.
