It's nice to see Wang doing well. We've gained a huge Chinese following so I hope he keeps it up.

Lind gets on base on a good clip, so I like him batting 2nd. Lind has a high average but very low rbi count because EE and Bautista are hitting lots of HRs

I think Gibbons stopped caring about trying to put a traditional lineup out there and just started putting the best hitters at the top of the order to ensure they get the most AB's (Arencibia aside, who astonishingly the organization actually thinks is good). Putting Reyes at lead-off and moving Melky down makes sense, as if Gibbons intends to split up Lind and Rasmus, then I'd rather Melky be sandwiched in between them than JPA.

Probably 5-6 days.

It's not likely, but we're back in "take two of three against the Rockies, at least one of three against the Rays, two of three against the O's and three of four against the Sox and we're right back in this" territory. Which means that we'll go 3-10 through that stretch, but yeah.

Yea also kindof reminds me of any winning streak the Raptors went on this year, but uh, maybe the Jays can actually start beating division opponents? I don't wanna hear anymore of this "oh if they split vs the Orioles and Rays they're in good shape blah blah" mumbo jumbo. Time to put together a 20 game winning streak!

i like splitting up bautista and EE, and lind 2nd.. that way bautista is clean up after Lind and Reyes and EE comes in after melky

I like Lind in the 2 hole because of his OBP and the fact that Reyes on 1st will open a hole for him as well.

And Melky 5th is not a bad idea because he can at least score runners in various ways and avoids the strikeout.

Then I'd go Colby 6th followed by Negrych (lol), Thole and Lawrie.

That's our best lineup IMO.

The lineup works right now. I'd leave Jose, Edwin and Adam right where they are. I'd have either Reyes or Melky hitting leadoff, and the other behind Lind

It seems like a waste of Reyes' speed to have Bautista right after him. Better off using him after the power hitters if they insist on keeping Bautista Encarnacion Lind at 2 3 and 4. It's not conventional but neither is Bautista at 2.

On another note, I really liked Rasmus in the 2 spot last year who seems like an ideal hitter in that spot against righties at least...(hits the ball to right, high flyball:ground ball ratio, mashes fastballs).

Getting back to .500 by July 1 is still the current short term target IMO. If they can do it before then, it would be great of course.

I know that, but do we really need to get into the whole nationality debate?
