Two sweeps in a row vs. teams above .500. Not too shabby.

The Orioles will be a big challenge. They're pretty hot themselves, and I'm not too confident in Dickey at the moment.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

a win on friday would be big

Won't be Freddy Garcia; the O's finally decided to get him and his 2.7 HR/9 out of the rotation, as he pitched the 9th tonight in a blowout.

If we make it through this 10-game stretch with a winning record, then yes. A poor stretch and everyone will jump off again. If they can just go 6-4, they'll be above .500 at the beginning of July.

Just get over the .500 mark first lol. Worst thing would be to be 1 under and start going the other way again.

Remove the divisional games, and these are the records of the AL East teams:

Orioles: 25-16.
Sox: 24-16.
Jays: 23-16.
Rays: 21-14.
Yankees: 23-21.

Combined: 116-83, .583 winning percentage.

Another way of putting it: the average AL East team would win 94 games if only they didn't have to play the AL East.

All four Blue Jays relievers used today entered the game with a BAA below .200. Outstanding.

The difference between the Yanks and Jays is the 1-8 head-to-head record. Those three series killed us.

Cecil came on for the seventh and was dominant once again, striking out a pair and getting a ground-ball out. The left-hander has not allowed a hit since May 28, a club-record span of 38 batters.
