No team option, but none necessary. He's well short of the service time necessary for arbitration, let alone free agency, which means that we'll be able to re-sign him for somewhere in the $500-600k range if desired.
Losing two in a row may have signalled to AA that the sparkle was off the lucky charm. If the team loved him so much and were energized by his presence, then they should have come through with hits when it mattered.
I'm hoping that this is a joke.
