So much for the perfect game.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

What's the point of having Wagner pitch two innings here? I mean they only have like 12 guys left in the pen...

Just realized we have won 7 of 9. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if we make a late push to finish .500

We're still 11 games under .500 with 23 games to go. That means we'd have to go 16-5 with 2 series against the Os, and 1 each against the Sox, Yanks and Rays. I just can't see that happening.

I think at best we finish 6 games under. Which actually I'd be very happy with given how horrific we've been

I'd like to find a way to keep Davis around and platoon him with someone. Hopefully AA finds a way to get that done.

My September challenge: Can JPA stay above the Mendoza line. He's getting pretty close to it.

I hate to say it, but I'm hoping he falls below. Everything that helps convince AA not to bring this guy back as the full-time catcher next year. Bring in a vet and have JPK as the backup if you don't want to give up on him entirely.

I was hoping we'd seen the last of Jeffress in April. Guess not.

Damn Dan Uggla just had to go and get a lower average than JPK.

Good thing JPK still has the lowest OBP this season among qualified players.

Going back to the "Dusty Baker is terrible at things", this is a doozy:

15th inning. Two outs. First-and-third. Dusty calls for a squeeze bunt. It doesn't quite work.

Yeah, it looked pretty bad at the start but after all star his era is 2.2 in 10 games. He is 23rd in ERA and WAR (baseball reference).

Brandon Morrow 296th in war and Josh Johnson is 330th(out of 334 ) with -1.5 Chien-Ming Wang 314th(out of 334 ) with -0.7.
