He'd have to actually believe what he's saying, though, for that to be true and I'm not so sure that he does. Remember that it's his job to sell like that and put his employer in a good light (which is why him readily admitting the deferring pay story was pretty surprising on Friday).

How stupid is gibby? Why is Kratz calling the game and navarro dhing? Shoulda been the other way round ... Specially after hutch's last start.

To give the "every day" C the equivalent of the day off.

Now, discussing the bench options for DHing and why this combo of 2 C's in the lineup ever happens is a whole other ball o' wax, but it's not a bad call to get Navarro days off from catching.
