No, it isn't true.

He said he might have to go on the DL, but Rasmus said he doubted it would be necessary. Still, with hamstring injuries - or re-injury in this case - you really do have to wait a day to see how it responds to treatment.

It's interesting that the Raptors are recognized as having one of the most advanced injury prevention programs while the Jays continue to suffer a wide range of chronic type injuries. Of course, you can't prevent injuries like a pitcher blowing out his elbow - that's happening all around the baseball world. And if Jose Reyes takes a hard slide into second, he might injure and ankle. But hamstrings and lower back tightness seem to be injuries that can be prevented or minimized through training techniques.

Ya they use a lot of bosu balls and resistance bands to stretch and strengthen at the same time.

One of the biggest issues in baseball is the standing still to 100% in a second. Every single guy on this team should be forced to train with light resistance and attend yoga.
That's what she said.

Hamstring injuries are because the players' muscles are cold. Not warming up properly, not staying warm during the game.

It's interesting because I was at a game a few weeks ago near right field and was watching Bautista, that guy is stretching and lunging between every single pitch it seemed. Watch when the camera goes on him in the dugout and he's often doing little things just to keep loose it seems.

Just an interesting observation.

He looks like he's going to throw his back out every time he steps out of the box.
