Tragic. What's really going on with this guy though? Is it his knees?

Looks like a total mental collapse. Has no belief any longer.

It went all downhill after his breakup with Rima Fakih...

it may have been sheer coincidence, but it's almost as if she stole off with his manhood. Then again, the confidence could come back, so the organization continues to hunt for cures - or palliatives. A guy with absurd control issues sounds like someone losing his focus, he doesn't need to change the mechanics so much as to find a therapist skilled in coaching focus techniques. AA said in BUF on Friday night that they continue to talk internally of possible pathways to a solution. I'm just not confident this organization has any answers. They have a hard time developing talented prospects, so I don't know how they solve this Rubik's Cube.

I wish him the best, but looks like a lost cause. I agree that the organization seems to have a difficult time developing prospects. What a waste of talent. Roy figured it out, but Ricky seems more mentally fragile and doesn't have the same work ethic.

I've been pushing this narrative for awhile as well. He was always a guy with supreme confidence and a bulldog approach to the game. Now he's more like a neutered wiener dog.

I wish the guy well, I'd love to see him return to the majors, even as a reliever. But doesn't seem like anything has changed.
That's what she said.

9 walks in under 3 innings is 100% mental. He just doesn't have it. I really wonder though if after his contract is up some team will give him a minor league deal and fix what ails him.

at this point I think he's only in it for the money- after he gets this 15mil I doubt he signs / moves to a new club for a minor league deal- especially if he hasn't figured it out in another 2 years
