Its obvious Happ has fallen in with the PED crowd on the team - namely... everyone on the team. ESPN is gonna write an expose on it. Olney is writing a piece on how the Man in White has branched out from signalling pitches to being the main drug distribution guy for the team. Its backed up with a bunch of sources ( namely other ESPN writers).

Happ is what he is; a bottom of the rotation option. There was a brief moment in 2012 where it looked like he may have a chance to turn the corner with his improved HR, GB, and BB rates (right when the Jays acquired him) but he seems to have settled back into what he is. Improved velocity may help him (as long as his command is at least somewhat consistent), but his career ERA is 4.25, his ERA since joining the Jays is 4.38 (after today's start), and as long as you expect #5 starter performance out of him, he'll pretty much give that. The issue is he is now the #4 starter, which won't work unless the #5 (Hendriks for now, probably Stroman soon) exceed whatever reasonable expectation there is for them. Someone after Happ needs to develop/step up/overachieve.

Am I missing something?

Watching Cincy/ St Louis game on ESPN (from MLB TV), they were talking a bit about the Jays. They gave us some respect in our recent play.

The Man in White was Rob Ford.

This explains a lot and now all the pieces come together. We all wondered how any batter could see a person signal from 400 ft away but Rob Ford is a huge guy - he can be spotted from outer space. True fact: the great wall of China and Rob Ford are visible from the ISS.
