Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

The only logical thing to do here is to take Davis,Cruz and Ortiz to the Derby along with our boy Edwing.

****, invite Teixera too. Make it an AL East team so we can even the injury playing field.
That's what she said.

Absolutely. If i were the Jays- i would tell him to pass. He struggled afterwards for several games, and got injured shortly afterwards. Even Bautista admitted in the Summer of 2012 in an interview on the FAN 590 which i remember listening to, that the Derby had "Changed his swing for the worse".

Bautista played 6 games in the summer of 2012. Wasn't exactly much time for his swing to get worse considering he got hurt less than a week after the derby.

He mentioned that in the interview after he got hurt that the "Derby had changed his swing for the worse and something to the effect". It was on a pre-game show with Blue Jays apologist Mike Shillner as i call him. Something about how the Derby could have been a contributing factor in hurting his wrist, and changing his swing for the worse after the all-star break in the 6 games he played before ending up in the DL.

Don't really buy it. He badly wanted to participate last year and is doing it again this year. If he thought it was a "contributing factor" in his injury, he wouldn't be doing this any longer.

I do not care if you buy it or not. It was what he said back in the Summer of 2012. He never said he was never going to participate in the Derby again in the interview with Wilner, but talked about the Derby's downsides. Maybe his thinking changed two years later.

Glorified batting practice. It's more interesting to watch the Shooting Stars at the NBA ASG.

The real derby is the 162 game season. That's what I want Jose or EE to win.

From hitting like prime Bonds, yes.
