Completely serious. Have you seen what the projected lineup against LHP looks like? DeRosa had a .810 OPS against LHP last season (a number that likely only Bautista, Encarnacion, and Cabrera can better on this team).

the bat toss wasn't so bad, but tossing his batting gloves right in front of the skipper probably pissed gibby off

So just cause the kid has options he has to be sent down to learn a "lesson"?

Pretty obvious this is one of his last chances up here...with all the injuries he prolly thinks this is am opportunity.

He was fine, not great but it was an average start for him.


Went to the game last minute - Hutch was labouring, but finished up strong thanks to striking out the side in his last inning (I believe). I've noticed his velocity has dropped back to pre TJ surgery velocity, so perhaps the 10 K/9 he showed over the first month is a thing of the past
