Looks like ppl don't have faith in his numbers, ino he's not power hitter but wouldn't that make more sense for him to bat lead off. When Travis comes back he's an option too, wouldn't you want Tulo in the middle of the order?

Just some questions I have guys

Because giving the worst hitter on the team (or close to it) the most PAs the rest of the season is not the best strategy.

how is a guy hitting around .280 for his career the worst hitter on the team?

My guess would be it is because he doesn't walk and hits for no power.

he's not worse than pillar, carrerra, colabello, smoak, goins...

He's probably better than Carrera, Goins and Pillar.

Smoak and Colabello on the other hand are better hitters.

Hitting for average doesn't mean much in today's MLB. Jose hits .231 but gets on base more frequently than Revere. OPS is a better indicator of a batters effect on the game than avg.

I'm no stats guru but I'd like to see Revere hit 9th to get on base for the big guns. Let your best hitters swing 1 - 4

All right, not worst hitter on the team. Just the worst hitter in the starting lineup (and he's much worse than Colabello/Smoak).

Don't see how he is the worst hitter on the team. Not everyone on the team has to be able to smash homers. Hitting for avg and stealing bags isn't a bad hitter (I understand he doesn't walk much)

I think Revere is just to shore up LF for this year only. I dont see him everyday with pompey and alford coming up

Pillar might lose his spot too if both pompey and alford pan out.

i would not like to see bautista at 1B or DH full time.

Don't forget about Saunders. AA said he will be starting when healthy next year.

Gibbons has already said he wants him batting ninth so that they can pretty much roll out 2 lead off hitters. I personally am ok with this. Gives the line up some nice balance
