I was a newborn the last time the Jays won the World Series. I've watched a lot of different mediocre eras over the years spending dead summers off school watching J.P. Ricciardi's garbage rosters.

This feels good man, I'm ready for some October Baseball and some good bar nights in the city. Lets get it.

I'll say that this is pretty sweet since I never did appreciate the 85-93 teams as much when I was a kid. I wasn't as big a sports fan when I was a kid, even though I did watch all of their World Series games. As a kid I was just like "Oh cool, the Jays are in the World Series. And Jane Fonda can shove it." I never really did think about how much work and how hard it was to get to the playoffs. There also wasn't any Toronto sports curse or anything, it just seemed almost natural to me that some of our sports teams would win stuff every once in a while back in those days. The frustration and insecurity in the city wasn't nearly what it is now.
