Jays really really need to start drafting and developing position players. We have nothing in the minors after Pompey and Alford.

It's a best out of seven series. So even if we lose today, we still play tomorrow.
Thanks for explaining that to me, I had no idea.

Or we can draft and develop pitchers and trade them for MVP candidates.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Yea because that worked out very well. What's our starting rotation next year again?

WAIT. Dickey is an MVP candidate?!?!
(just kidding, I know which trade you meant Fairview).
Jays4WS, Let's not forget that we may see Osuna and Sanchez in the starting rotating next year (along with Stroman obviously).
In theory that's 3/5th of your starting rotation home grown.

There's actually been quite a few people here watching the MLB playoffs for the first time. Since the ALDS is best out of 5, they thought the ALCS is best of 5 as well. Reading your original post, it sounded like you were one of those people. My bad for not picking up on the sarcasm.

I agree with that, I do not agree with the comment about trading young pitchers to "MVP" candidates whenever we want. It just doesn't work like that. My argument is we have no position players.

Re-stocking the farm will take time. We've been drafting pretty well recently.
