He is a dick, and an annoying one at that,

But I doubt his constant repetition of the same point I doubt had anything to do with Toronto. Repeating the same point over and over is typical Harold, so there may not be any agenda. If there was any agenda, it's too boost his own ego as he was a base stealing punch and judy hitter who hit for a decent average at his peak.

I think it's just because he has nothing of real value to say. The sad part of this is that A-Rod was trying way too hard and he was still the best broadcaster on Fox.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Seriously though, Familia was fine. The Royals make a lot of contact and he got ground balls right at guys. Daniel Murphy, Lucas Duda et al just **** sucked at the worst time.

Baseball is a funny game, if Carlos Correa doesn't botch a double play ball the Royals likely would have lost the ALDS in 4 games.

And if the Jays didn't get three errors in a row to load the bases against Texas we would have burned down the MLB head office after losing on that Martin/Choo throw.

Let's face it, the Royals are a good darn team. their bullpen is just lights out. the Mets cringed when they had to trott out Addison and Colon, while the royals still had wade davis in the pen ... lol

And they will also be bringing back 6? all-stars next year and beyond and that's assuming Gordon, a multi-all star himself (who batted 8th) won't be returning.

Frank Thomas said it best after game 5; ' They gave away this world series' referring to the Mets.

Like I said, beating the Jays in the playoffs basically means you're gonna win the WS. The 91 Twins, the 89 Athletics, 85 Royals, and now the '15 Royals.

Sigh.

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20, but Collins' first instincts were to bring Familia into the game. Harvey had been through the lineup 3 times already, and 4th time gets dangerous, especially since it's his second start against them in the past week. Collins only changed his mind after Harvey made a big deal about it. It's only one small part of why they lost (Lucas Duda being unable to make a half decent throw to home plate being another), but all the little things add up. The Royals were definitely the better team, and they likely would have won in either game 6 or 7, if it got that far, anyway.

Even though some will say that KC is the luckiest team to win the WS (or close to it) I'm also a firm believer that we make our own luck. I also believe the Jays were the 2nd best team in the playoffs (better than the Mets or Chicago)

I think with the Royals you can make the argument that they do make their own luck to some extent, in that there are certainly more chances for another team to make an error if you are putting the ball in play and always trying to run or whatever. It reduces the margin of error for your opponent. Jose throwing to second to stop Hosmer from taking the extra base instead of hitting the cut off man, allowing Cain to round third and score, for example.

It is just weird that professional athletes all magically crumble against them late in games though.

The thing is it wasn't like the Royals were doing anything they weren't doing all season, they were just doing it BETTER in October. They always were a good hitting team and had 'BABIP luck' all season long. Their pitching may have improved a little but a lot of it was their excellent fielding, which has been the case all season. It's just unfortunate for us that they were doing these things all at once when we played them.
