I think they'll attempt to sign another starter. There should be enough money left still to get one of the upper mid-level guys (Chen, Iwakuma, Leake, Gallardo, Kazmir etc.). It will likely require paying a premium to get someone like that to come to Toronto, though, so we'd have to be prepared to overpay a bit. It remains to be seen if Shapiro will be willing to do something like that.

I find it more likely that they would go with Osuna/Sanchez in the rotation before trading from its offensive strength for a starter (and creating another hole in the process).

Can you please rank the pitchers you listed (Chen, Iwakuma, Leake, Gallardo, Kazmir)?

Doesn't sound like anyone will be out bidding the Yankees for Chen, and Iwakuma sounds like he's headed back to Seattle.

Oh, they'd be lucky to get any one of them. And anything is going to be a "little underwhelming" compared to a top 5 pitcher in baseball.

Chen, Iwakuma, Kazmir, Leake, Gallardo. Those aren't the only options, though.

Kuma is a big step above Chen/kazmir/Leake IMO. And no to Gallardo please, guy plays with fire every start and will be hard pressed to go more than 5 innings a start.

Lackey would be good option. He's still good but old so you can get him on a short term contract.
