By no means am I saying that signing Price would have been smart/logical, however there's gotta be some sort of middle ground - going after the likes of Chavez, Luebke and Happ (who's a decent 5), makes for a very underwhelming offseason.

It's just so disheartening after waiting 20 years for a competitive/playoff team, and Rogers takes the high road and doesn't look to improve the team, but to scrape the bottom of the bargain bin.

Showing interest in Corey Luebke over Mike Leake? Dammit Shapiro. Go back to Cleveland with this dumpster diving moneyball **** already.

At least it's clear to everyone now just how important winning actually is to Rogers.

Oh, that was clear to me over a decade ago. They bought the team to make money and making money doesn't require winning in MLB.

On a serious note, Cory Luebke was a fantastic arm until the Tommy John Surgeries. This would be a pretty good low risk high reward signing. Would also love if we were to get AJ Griffin on a minor league deal.
Want: Trae Young, Michael Porter Jr., DeAndre Ayton, Jaren Jackson Jr, Marvin Bagley III, Mohamad Bamba, Shai Gilgeous- Alexander, Elie Okobo, Jevon Carter

All these "omg why are we looking at these guys" posts on various outlets are basically the 2015 Blue Jays Bandwagon hangover.

EVERY TEAM LOOKS TO MAKE DEPTH SIGNINGS, THIS ISN'T A BLUE JAYS ONLY THING.

He was pretty good before injuries hit him hard.... I don't want to state the obvious, but these are the same types of posts we would have seen 6 years ago when we traded Robinson Diaz for Joey bats. All we wanted was everyone elses garbage etc. Or how about Edwin? We dubbed dude E5 for his horrendous play at the 5 and his propensity for an E on the official score card. Point being, I am far from a Shapiro apologist. I do in fact, detest the man, and almost everything he's done here so far. I also, despise Rogers as our ownership group.... but I'm still willing to look at Cory for what he is... a former really good pitcher who fell on bad luck and could potentially be a great low risk pick up... however... yes... f shapiro and f rogers.
