Ah, yes, but you're forgetting that Bob McCown is a washed up, bitter, uninformed radio personality with no insight into the Jays besides what he gets fed from Beeston.

I value Bob McCown's opinion as much as John Shannon's at this point.

The same guy that said he had heard Lebron was coming to Toronto. Seems like his sources are legit

You know it's a joke when Butch Carter and Bob are saying it together. Such a joke. The play by play:

"Look I know that Lebron didn't sign here, but he was VERY CLOSE according to my sources, you don't have to believe me, but I am telling you that I know, and you're stupid of you think you know more than me. Now no shed of proof, no quotes from anyone, not a shred of evidence, but my guys know, and that's that"

I think the question would be what would we get back for dickey? Im all for seeing him and that abysmal trade gone and done with. But i dont think we get much of any thing for him. Hes too old, pricy, i dont know if he even qualifys as washed up. Plus his deal is almost done. Short of a young piece thats mlb read i dont see making a deal for him. And I dont think any one gives that up.

As much as I harp on Dickey, I can see how National League teams would have interest in him. Even at age 41 he is a solid bet for 200+ innings - however good they might be - and away from the small ballparks and the big bats of the AL East I would expect him to be better.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."
