In his new role, the Oakland native will support the baseball operations department in creating and implementing decision-making systems and processes, the Blue Jays said Sunday in a release. Murov will also assist in the preparation and analysis of financial, statistical, and contractual information, co-ordinating contract negotiation and arbitration preparation.

Seems like a solid hire. He was previously with Boston.

Isn't this the type of stuff that Tony LaCava was previously doing? I wonder if he's slowly being pushed aside by the new management.

I don't mind that they're putting more brains into the decision making pool and dividing the duties into a larger pie. Management is a cheap cost compared to the on field talent. Plus Everyone seemed to think that the Dodgers were crazy smart hiring AA as their 7th front office person with GM experience.

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Not really. LaCava has always been more of an amateur scouting guy.
