Is this the guy that everyone was complaining about because AA didn't get him included in the Halladay trade?

I can't remember the details of it, but yes he is the guy AA wanted from the Halladay deal.

46% of the Toronto Star poll here voted that they wanted to trade Bautista for Dom Brown 2 years ago.

At the time though; wasn't he one of the Phillies' top prospects?

Looked like he was going to develop into a ballplayer a couple years ago then fell off a cliff.

A top 5 prospect at the time of the Halladay trade and coming off an all-star year at the time of the rumoured trade for Jose.
Unfortunately those are the 2 bright spots in an otherwise disappointing resume.

Hasn't lived up to the hype, with the exception of one season. However, it's a no risk high reward gamble.

I've liked the signings the Jays have made so far, between Floyd, Sanchez and now Brown. Low risk moves.

never a bad minor league signing. Odd feeling is I see him on the roster at some point in the season. Bad stuff has to happen tho;

Nothing really. Brown doesn't belong on a major league roster. He's pretty awful in the field which puts more emphasis on his bat and he's had one of the lower hard hit % over the past couple of seasons, not a exactly a sign that he'll have any sort of rebound there.
