It's nice to see Josh Donaldson is still crushing the baseball. How did we get this guy again???

What is he doing? Hopefully your sanity will prevail.
Being a typical douchebag Boston sports fan and shouting obscenities at the Jays dugout with my 5 year old nephew right behind him. Luckily for me someone else told him STFU.
Anyways. The game overall was kinda dull and the crowd was pretty out of it for the most part. The best part was when Panda was batting and people were making fun of his obesity.
The crowd was REALLY dull. You could hear a pin drop right from the start. It was really bad for a sellout crowd.
You could tell how tame the crowd was going to be as soon as you walked into the building yesterday. Anyone catch the guy holding up the belts when Sandoval was pinch hitting

He's definitely not your prototypical leadoff man..
If you mean he's a bad hitter, then yeah, he's not your prototypical leadoff guy. That's not his problem, though, it's the manager's.
Yeah, I mean it's not like it's a shocking thing that Pillar is a guy who will run the bases well and hit from time to time. It's his inability to extend at bats with patience. It's his inability to draw walks. It's his inability to be on base enough to turn Donaldson solo's into 2-run home runs...or make it so teams pitch more cautiously to him to avoid pitching to Bautista/Encarnacion with two runners on base.
You need your #1 hitter to make a pitcher throw a lot so that Donaldson and Encarnacion can see the repetoire of the pitcher and pick up on little nuances in his delivery. Pillar doesn't provide that.
Mind you we are starting the year with Darwin Barney as one of our best hitters through 7 games.

Really, who is the best leadoff hitter for this team? Tulo? Martin? Saunders?

Tomorrow? Saunders. I like Tulo there, but he needs to break that slump first.
Anyone but Pillar.

Actually, Goins might be better too.
Unless and until Pillar can learn to take a walk, he should be batting in the bottom third of the order.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."
