He's turned back into a pumpkin, .414 BABIP be damned.

I'd really like to see an upgrade at the Colabello/Smaok platoon. Eddie is gonna DH most of the time and play limited1B.

His struggles go beyond BABIP though. He hasn't hit more than 2 balls hard all season and has a higher than normal K rate.

Funny how last season when he was red hot Gibby would still play Smoak a majority of the starts and now that Cola is struggling mightily he still gets the nod against every tough RHP we face. Doublely confusing because Smoak killed it all spring.

Easy to kill it in the spring with AAA pitchers and guys warming up. In his limited at-bats, he still can't hit a breaking ball to save his life.

Let's hope one of these guys can get it together.

For sure. But hot is hot and Cola wasn't agains those same pitchers.

A HR every 5-6 games or so is really good. I just want to see him get some hits, more walks, and stop striking out.
