I hate the idea of second guessing a manager..but Martin looks lost in plate

Martin is in some funk 7/67 i believe - You just can't sit there and say "look this line up as gotten us where we are today" you have to adjust accordingly.

That 6th inning strikeout on Batista was 4" outside.

Have already gotten into how ridiculous it is to complain about 5-6 spots of the batting order when a hitter as bad as Carrera is leading off, but Saunders over his last two healthy seasons has been significantly better than both current versions of Martin and Tulowitzki. Why would he not hit 5 in this scenario if it's all about hitting your better hitters higher?

But you're basing this on an assumption that players perform at their average pace all the time and ignore the peaks and valleys.

I don't think its ridiculous to say Martin is struggling and to move him down one spot.

Why? There are a ton of **** managers out there.

Gibbons has been good these playoffs, except for putting Martin in the 5 spot. That is beyond stupid.

I don't have a problem with making such a move, but I also don't think it really matters at all. If you want to maximize the run scoring potential of this lineup, there are bigger issues with it than the difference between Martin and Tulowitzki.
