They spent the whole summer avoiding to sign their best players. They said they wanted to go younger and still brought in aging vets. We lost so much power from this lineup and didn't place it. It's not like we are switching approaches either, so clearly no plan is in place other than to rebuild the farm system at the expense of the big league club. Ya'all around here are okay with this because its good to rebuild the farm system, but that takes forever and is no safe bet either. I'm so confused, like this team has one mlb ready outfeilder right now, back to back years records breaking revenues and nothing to show for it, and no outrage so it's okay for them to do.
Do you want us to get angry on a message board? If you were around these parts 18 months ago you'd know the "regulars" on here called for this to happen. Those of us that don't get angry know the realities of the club's financial situation and understand they don't have the assets to bring in the kinds of pieces they need to get better. They also have the future dead weight of the Tulo and Martin contracts.
Personally, I'm not renewing my flex pack for next season and will likely watch fewer games on TV next season. That's me doing my small, rebellious part as a hardcore fan.
