This one was kind of a bummer.

After working so hard to get within distance of .500 and get out of that horrendous start, we've lost 5 of our last 6 and sank deeper in the hole. So depressing. Need some consistency from this team.

Smoak and Travis are our offense.

Anybody know what's going on with Alford? I thought they were sending him back after one game.

All of a sudden, Travis is hitting .243/.280/.400 through 150 PAs. He was hitting .130/.193/.195 through 83 PAs in April.

Apparently, the solution was to never, ever take a walk.

When was the last time we had a doubles champion? Lyle Overbay?

Yep. Last time we even had a player in the top five was back in 2009, with Lind. Because dingers.

at this juncture in the game, any smart bettor takes the orioles to win this, probably by walk-off

Well, wasn't a great series, but at least we avoided getting swept. Estrada is a gem.

Really nice win, good on Estrada.

But concerning for the future: Neither Donaldson or Tulowitski doing rehab assignments. Tulo did play early last week, and since then nothing. At first, it was blamed on Dunedin being on the road, but the idleness suggests he's not right yet.

i also don't think he's quite ready either but he did play on thursday (went 2-3) and dunedin's been on the road since

On the road in the FSL isn't quite the same as a West Coast trip in the majors. If he was healthy, they could have flown him up to Buffalo, where the Bison were playing Pawtucket. On Friday, David Price pitched for Pawtucket, and Pablo Sandaval played all weekend (with a pretty fruitless performance at that).

When are they sending Alford back? And when they do, are they sending him to New Hampshire or Buffalo?

tulo doesn't go to buffalo. he doesn't do long bus rides either and i don't blame him? bet he gets a couple more games in in dunedin (they are back home this week) before coming up on thursday and playing SS on friday vs. rangers

Orioles are such garbage, they've got so much wineryness. That plump Beef Wellington Castillo somehow went legend and cost us 1 maybe 2 games in that series.
That's what she said.
