OT: Angels Lower Right-Field Wall At Angel Stadium By 10 Feet

There is expected to be an increase in home runs to right-center at Angels Stadium this season.
The Los Angeles Angels have announced that the right-center wall will be lowered from 18 feet to eight feet before the season begins.
There were 202 home runs in Angel Stadium last season, ranking 19th in the Major Leagues. Only 70 of those home runs came from left-handed hitters.
Japanese import Shohei Ohtani hits left-handed and smacked 30 home runs in 525 at-bats the last two seasons in Japan's NPB

Maybe I'm wrong, but something about this sits wrong with me.

Teams are allowed to modify their stadiums to exploit the strength of a new addition to the team?

Home teams should be allowed to modify the stadium during each half inning. Install retractable walls for super low during home half and and super high during the away team half. Also maybe a strobe light in the away batters face.

Moats of lava at the warning track for the home half innings. Want to rob a homerun, sure, but you could DIE.

We should have retractable walls. It goes down when the Jays bat, but up by a lot when the opponents bat.

I'm going to email my idea to Atkins/Shapiro.

I don't have an issue with it so long as the field meets major league standards. Also, they shouldn't be allowed to change it more than say once every year, before the season starts.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I'm dubious that this in any way benefits the Angels. Yeah, Ohtani is left-handed, as is Calhoun, but most of their sluggers hit from the right side. Their rotation isn't projected to be lefty-heavy, either.

I always wished the jays would go with a non-symmetrical outfield wall.

maybe add a slanted roof to one of the bullpens, so the ball has to clear the fence in front first row.

Jays should move all the bases about 15 feet closer, to accommodate Morales.

Doesn't bug me, frankly it'll probably help opposing teams
