Nothing I respect more than decisions based on performance. Not reputation. Not contract. etc. It's PRO sports.

(unless you're absolutely screwing yourself for no reason with options/bonuses/etc...)

We haveseveral promising middle infield options (MLB and MiLB) that have passed or will pass Travis on the depth chart, including Lordes. As of today, DT is on the trade block in my book. Just waiting for the right opportunity/offer. Don't need much back.
Is anybody here a marine biologist?

If Travis regains his form, a spell in the minors of two weeks or more also buys us another year of service time. So that's nice, I suppose, if probably immaterial given that Travis looks like a complete wreck.

Glad Travis is gone. You can't roster a guy who is so fragile he can't play 3 games in a row who has also been terrible since the start of the 2017 season. Let's see what Lourdes can do at this level.
