The Jays weren't even trying to tank this year but they currently have the 7th worst record in baseball. They can't possibly end up worse than the bottom 5 (O's, Royals, Marlins, Reds, White Sox) but without JD, Stroman, and Osuna, it's going to get ugly fast (even more than it has already). Teams are starting to make trades now so hopefully we see some selling soon.

With the draft over, we're officially into trade season now. Curious whether the sheer number of teams at/above .500 in the NL will kick things off earlier, or whether some of those teams will wait for the final week to ensure that they're actually playoff contenders.

It's unfortunate that some of our minor trade assets -- Granderson, Oh, and Clippard, primarily -- have had bad runs of late, though, because it makes it less likely that we'll find takers for early deals that return even modest prospects.
