What did Sanchez do?

He went ahead and started the game despite a busted finger. He admitted after the game that he shouldn't have started but he did because he had lots of family and friends in the stands.

Either Gibby knew and let him start anyway, or he didn't know. Either scenario reflects poorly on both of them.

Sanchez and Garcia were put on the DL. Gaviglio starts tomorrow. Tim Mayza has been recalled. And there is no starter yet for Tuesday's game.

Tepesch started on Wednesday in Buffalo (side note: in that game, Josh Smith relieved Josh Smith for Pawtucket) so he wouldn't be an unlikely suspect if they want to call someone up for the spot start. Borucki's an outside possibility; will know tomorrow, which I believe is his scheduled start date.

Borucki was a scratch today, so that would seem to point to him making his debut on Tuesday.
