If the Jays are down badly in the 9th and Ohtani is still in the game, I'd love for them to put Vladdy on the mound, just for S&Gs.

We have 10 hard hit balls this game. We have a higher xBA than the Angels. Just no luck.

He wasn't likely to have a sub-1.00 ERA for us long-term. Berrios is a good pitcher; he'll give you an awful lot of above-average innings. But he's not an ace, and thus he will get tagged some of the time.

Use him enough and he'll definitely shift things in our preferred direction.

Man, this guy squeezed Berrios all night, then he calls that a strike?

Listening to the Angels' broadcast, and they've been complimenting the ump all game. Even they were astounded that he called that one.

i 100% love bat flips and shenanigans in the dugout but that jacket should stay on the rack if the bomb doesn't at least tie the damn game

The strike zone for both Berrios and Ohtani was completely different than the one he ended the game with. Was quite something to witness the incompetence.

Lost opportunity. Both Boston and the Yankees lost their games. We should have taken 3 out of 4 in this series and gained a game on both. Next series against the Mariners will be huge. I hope the Berrios trade wasn't a mistake. His fastabll command was off. Disappointing loss. We should be beating teams like the Angels.
