Mild strain, Montoyo says x rays negative and hes day to day and hoping for only a couple games missed with the off day coming up. I'm not as optimistic but we'll see

Well that’s not as bad as it could have been, but Springer being day to day sounds very familiar...

No way the Jays are ever gonna trust Kirk enough defensively to be a full-time starting C. They'd be best served trading him this offseason and bringing on the Moreno era.

Matz pulled at 94 pitches in a 5 run lead when we have a struggling pen is an interesting choice.

If you can't pull at pitcher at 95 pitches with a 5 run lead you might as well pack it up for the year.

After last night, I'm pretty prepared to.

Which is fair, but then all the more reason not to push Matz further than needed.

Crazy how we use Romano in a 8-3 game but use Brad frickin Hand in a tie game with the game on the line.

I suspect he could handle another dozen pitches without collapsing from exhaustion or injury. It’s not like we’re taking about Merryweather.

We don’t have the sharpest manager in the shed, no.

If a dozen pitches from Matz is really a significant difference maker, then it doesn't matter and we've come full circle.
