He was fine last night. Montoyo didnt even ask Springer if he was okay before yanking him for a pinch runner, and losing Springer for another at bat in the 9th.

As always, a two-run lead is the perfect time to use your two worst relievers.

**** your asterisk.

what a choke job. no clutch at all. nobody that can come up big and score a run with RISP. what a wasted opportunity and season.

Nice to see some good AB's that inning....but going forward can we just pinch run for Teoscar Hernandez every time he reaches base. Great hitter but he has to be one of the worst baserunners I've seen.

That was brutal and could have cost us the game. What was he doing tagging from 2nd? lol.

Some players with slower average sprint speeds than Vlad this year:
Elvis Andrus.
Kolten Wong.
Rougned Odor.
Corey Seager, an actual shortstop.
Manny Machado.
Andrelton Simmons, an actual Gold Glove shortstop.
Also, for a sense of how quick 29.6 ft/s is, that's what Billy Hamilton averages on sprints this year. Billy Hamilton, the guy whose sole redeeming virtue as a baseball player is his speed.
