As well as the Jays have been playing, it will still be a dogfight for the final Wild Card spot. Incredible how the AL East has shaped up.

The Jays schedule is pretty clearly easier than the Yankees, no? The Yanks have 9 games left vs TB/Tor/Bos. And the Jays have 10 games against Bal/Min.

The NYY-TB games won't mean anything to TB (and they will presumably be resting players during the last weekend of the season), so I would argue the NYY schedule is easier.

I agree. That is why I stated New York has an easier schedule than the Jays. The Rays will be resting their players. The Red Sox have 6 games against Baltimore, and 3 against the Nationals. The season will come down to the New York series in Toronto. Yankees have lucked out by playing the Twins, Orioles, Rangers, and Indians at the right time. We still have 3 games in Tampa, which are always a struggle for the Jays.

We have a slightly easier schedule than NYY (we have 10 games against minor league teams left, Yankees have 8).

It should have never come to this point though. Our team is way better than the Yankees and Red Sox. Charlie just managed to lose us at least 4-5 games this year with his decision-making. People always say the manager can't affect the outcome of a baseball game, but Charlie has proved those people wrong this year.

If this team makes the playoffs, it will be despite the manager. I know Shapiro will never do this, but I hope he is let go after the season, even if the team makes the post-season.

Doesn't look like the Rays rested players last year, but I could be wrong. Even if they do, I'd still take the Jays schedule if given the choice. 10 games against garbage teams vs. 7 games against garbage teams. Yankees 6 games on the road against Bos/Tor.
