Why does Vladdy have a better postseason than Ohtani this year, let alone all time

Because he has?

You can say anything you want, but it isn't one of the choices unless you provide evidence, which is what I'm asking for.

You can look the numbers up yourself :)

Lineup is the same as yesterday. I would have hoped that Clement would be hitting 4th, Barger at 5, Kirk at 6, and Varsho at 7. That would solve the so called lineup construction excuse of spacing out LHBs and RHBs. The Mariners will straight up not pitch to Vlad tonight. I would rather have Ernie getting those opportunities with how exceptional he is been this series, over a guy like Varsho who has been awful hitting wise.

I am hoping Varsho can wake up tonight and save his best game for the last in the series. He has been atrocious (3 for 24 in this series, killing rallies with his Strike Outs and Pop Outs/Fly Outs on bad pitches). However, if he can deliver tonight, all of the prior 6 Games will not mean much. Hoping he can deliver like he did a couple of times like he did against the Yankees. Mariners will not let Vlad beat them, so guys like Kirk, Varsho, and Barger need to hopefully deliver in big spots.

Barger should be back in the 4 spot.

With all due respect to Vladi, Ohtani wipes the floor with him. He had one of the best series of all-time in the Brewers series, and was solid throughout the rest. It's clear that even with how strong Toronto is, Dodgers are clearly better and winning this in 4/5.

Ohtani: .220 BA, .333 OBP, .634 SLG, 7 R, 9 RBI, 19 K in 48 PA
Vladdy: .462 BA, .532 OBP, 1.000 SLG, 11 R, 12 RBI, 2 K in 47 PA

Aside from the HRs (of which Ohtani hit all 5 of his in 2 games), Vladdy is almost doubling up Ohtani's numbers in practically identical plate appearances lol. Even if you consider the 2.25 ERA and 19 K in 12 innings that Ohtani has pitched, Vladdy easily clears him so far this postseason. This has been a generational individual run, and hopefully it continues for at least another week.

So he's a better offensive player, that's nice. Don't forget, there's two sides. But glad you out in proof.

I'll rethink my statements...

Vlad also plays the 2nd side. He has been great defensively.

i wish this was the case lol. you can probably move Kirk behind schneider at the rate Kirk is going at these playoffs.

Where do I sign up for this? This is a lineup I can live with, compared to the actual same lineup from yesterday slotted for tonight.

I would have went Clement #1 and Springer #4.

Springer might be ineffective due to injury, but he still provides protection behind Vlad that will make Seattle think which has value in itself.

But lineups itself don’t matter much if at all. Who starts (doesn’t start) matters — so IKF. That being said iKF has done somethjng productive offensively the last 3 games so let’s hope he makes it 4 in a row.

This is insane......

Greatest playoff run in MLB history!

It's not set in stone yet. Bonds had 259 wRC+ (.356/.581/.978) in 2002 playoffs, including WS
While literally getting nothing to hit.

I don't care what anyone says, peak Bonds is easily the best baseball player ever and arguably the most dominant athlete I've ever seen.

Last game I believe they intentionally hit Springer.

Yup. 100% intentional.

I would've 100% have swapped Kirk and Clement here. Kirk hasn't really been hitting the ball well as of late and I doubt Vladdy gets much to hit today.

George Springer (R) DH
Nathan Lukes (L) LF
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (R) 1B
Ernie Clement (R) 3B
Addison Barger (L) RF
Alejandro Kirk (R) C
Daulton Varsho (L) CF
Isiah Kiner-Falefa (R) 2B
Andrés Giménez (L) SS

Would've been my lineup.
