I won't be eating anything during the game. There's no way I'd have an appetite. I'll pig out afterwards if we win.

Apparently Springer is back, and he was the guy that got us here with the 3 run HR, ending the Mariners hopes and dreams in Game 7 (still feel a little bad about that though). I want a repeat from Springer, he is an ATG playoffs performer as he has proven before, and he can do this again.

Dodgers are doing everything though. Yamamoto to start and then Snell & Ohtani as relief  . It's gonna be really really hard, but anything can happen! Let's go Jays! We can win on Halloween, hopefully Yamo is tired

Every series usually has one game where the bats are just going your way. Even the Yankees last year won the one game in the WS where they completely went off offensively.

I hope that doesn't happen, but I could see Game 6 being that game for the Dodgers

That’s not true… the brewers only scored 1 run in every game against the dodgers… they could just keep sucking again. That would be great. In fact I would say the 5 runs in game 2 and 6 in game 3 could be considered their offensive breakout games.

The Dodgers haven't exactly been hitting the ball hard either. Theyve had a sub .200 xBA in 3/5 games so far, could easily turn but the Dodgers are really selling out for the long ball and their launch angles (especially K.Hernadez, Betts, and Muncy) have led to bad contact. Could easily turn but this isnt a offense thats getting "unlucky". Since July 1st they had a 104 WRC+. They haven't scored over 5 runs since the garbage Reds. Its baseball tho so anything can happen tho lmao

I know Carter already did it but Carter again should be appropriate.

Actually, Devon should make the first catch. Is there a way to structure the ceremony so that he's in CF catching a fly ball. It doesn't have to be some Barger-type miraculous grab (but that would be cool, too).

I bought a Devon White ball glove from the Blue Jays store when I visited Toronto in 1993. It's got Devo's name and signature (not an actual autograph, of course) right in the palm of the glove. Still have it and use it to this day.

The Jays are winning the World Series tonight.

I loved how he made things look effortless, catching balls in stride. I liked Kevin Pillar a lot but always thought when Kevin would dive for a ball, Devon would have caught that on the run.

As an aside, it would be fun after this series, to have a top 10 Jays thread for each position.

I honestly dont get the Rojas move, he has a 594 OPS against righties (Gausman reverse splits guy i guess)? Mookie hitting in a run scoring spot also doesnt seem ideal either. Whens the last time Edman played CF? Surprised theyre not just going back to Pages if they want their best defensive unit out there.

I dont think the jays will see another reliever. Dodgers can use Ohtani as first relief tonight and Snell tomorrow.

There's a huge difference between a close loss tonight and a blowout loss tonight. We have way more pitching options over the course of 2 games than they do.

I'd love for them to use Ohtani as the first reliever tonight. Get his bat out of the lineup for the end of the game.
