If he's not available tomorrow, then that makes it a completely brain dead decision to not use someone else.

Absolutely a brain dead decision to use Hoffman for two innings. You seen that his velocity and command started to decline in the second inning. I would have brought in Fluharty or Dominguez for the 9th.

The stuff has been good in the playoffs, the rest did him wonders. People just can't get past some of the bad outings he had in the regular season, many of which were from being overworked.

Yep. Wild to me that some people still think Little was the right move the other night. Hoffman has looked really good in the playoffs for the most part and his one shaky appearance was a 4-out save where he still got the job done. Great outing tonight, though I wish we had someone else come out for the 9th because 35 pitches just 24 hours before a game 7 is a bit concerning.

Nice win. Should be celebrating a WS berth tonight.

Another bad game for Schneider. I have no confidence in this guy right now.

- Starts IKF
- Lets IKF bat with the bases loaded in the 7th when we're 1 hit away from blowing it open
- Lets George bat in the 8th, up 4, when it looks like the guy is 1 swing away from missing some serious time
- Burns out his closer up 4
- Hoffman popped the red nose on his clown suit by showing he should have pitched game 5

I don't want to dunk on all the doom and gloom after game 5 but thinking that this team was broken after that Schneider fiasco was just fans being emotional. Losing in that fashion is painful but the series wasn't over and they had the next two possibly at home. Other than the game 2 and one inning in game 5 the Jays held this lineup in check. Hoping for a Bieber masterpiece tommorow.

Can’t look ahead to game 7 when game 6 isn’t finished yet. Dominguez just gave up a grand slam the other day. Secure the victory and now you’re in a game 7. Worry about all that stuff tomorrow.

I am still not sold on Scherzer pitching tomorrow on short rest. Would not mind Gausman for an inning or two.

That’s just it. We won’t have him relatively rested tomorrow because we chose to get a mediocre second inning from him from a stuff perspective. I get the notion of play for today but this was pretty dumb.

All fair points. I cannot disagree with any of these points.
