We need Vlad to hit another first inning HR tomorrow to give us some hope and momentum.

This is my thinking. A mysterious injury could coincidentally happen.

If the Jays lose interesting to see if this plays out
and Bassitt gets in the roster or they just go with Lauer

Probably a no brainer to do this after the bullpen got smoked this game and so many guys got used. You do a bullpen game and all these guys are probably taxed if they go to a game 5.

Good pitch, I was expecting Williams to go with his split as he usually does in a big spot and so was Santander

Can't afford to throw a split there and walk him in that situation, just too much on the line to risk 2 on and no out IMO.

He’s risked it in much bigger spots than that, it’s what makes him a very tough pitcher when he’s throwing his FB for strikes like he did tonight

The runs he drove in he gave back with that defensive blunder.

Two massive singles in both games given the game context at the time, yeah

With several other hard hit balls in the other ABs

Again, if we had any pitching at all, he’d be one of the heroes of this series right now lol

He’s also having great ABs regardless of results. Santander has been the least of the Jays issues

The Jays’ pitching in this series when Gausman and Yesavage aren’t on the mound is the primary issue

Need a meaningful hit from Springer here to give us any chance at a comeback. It feels like he has been pretty invisible despite scoring 3 runs and hitting a HR so far this series.

Former Cy Young winner Shane Bieber got gifted a 6-1 lead and gave up 5 piss missiles and got chased before he could even get to 2 times through the order. If im giving out blame its like 75% Bieber 10% Barger 10% the entire ****in pen and 5% IKF. This is Biebers L and as a former ace he'd probably tell you the same thing.

Absolutely agree. Bieber sucked at the biggest stage. If he goes at least 6 innings, you did not have to worry about bringing your relievers in the third inning.

You can put in Straw and Lukes defensively also in the later innings with the lead. If this team gets eliminated, it will be due to Bieber choking like a dog. No way I am opening my cheque book to give this fraud a big contract.

We can't lose a series where we completely obliterated them in the 1st 2 games and then had a 6-1 lead. That would make the series L 1000x more humiliating

If I'm a hitter, I don't think I can hit the splitter anyways. If he throws it for a strike, have to live with the results. I'm just making sure I don't get beat on a fastball there.

Eric Lauer is getting destroyed tomorrow. Yankees will blow out these chokers tomorrow. So, use Nance, Bruihl and Eric Lauer for as many innings you can. Best bet is to save your best arms for Game 5 at home.

That assumes you can actually recognize it in time which is the difficult part of that

The two pitches look identical coming out of his hand

This would be the most likely result if we are going by how the Shatkins Era has gone.

I think he’s ok, he’s just facing David Bednar

I know Springer loves DHing but he gotta pick up a glove tmr so Satander can DH. Springer kinda sucks in the field but he won't make game breaking mistakes.

At least we will have the ALDS banner, and not a 2025 Wild Card banner (lol).
